Speed Boost Reversed

Yesterday I spoke to retentions and agreed a new deal for the coming year. I was on the big easy bundle and my broadband speed was upgraded to 70mb a year or more ago as part of the free speed upgrade. I'm now showing as on the M+ bundle, however my speed has reduced to 50mb.

I phoned retentions again this morning and they have told me that there is no longer a free upgrade and I am only on 50mb.

Is this right? I feel cheated!.

Re: Speed Boost Reversed

They don't do 70, only 50/100/200, so they wont put you on a speed that they don't provide anymore.

Re: Speed Boost Reversed

Sadly any change to a package reverts it to the normal tiers with no way to change it back. It's been that way since they first announced them, i changed my package back before my area got the upgrade which then made me ineligible for it.

Re: Speed Boost Reversed

No, you have 14 days to revert back to your previous services, including 70Mb.

Re: Speed Boost Reversed

unfortunately you have been caught out like many others recently. Rather than giving you a genuine discount or applying a credit to your account, they make it appear like you are saving money by changing your package down a tier which appears to be what has happened here.

Re: Speed Boost Reversed

I've sent an email to the CEO with a reply saying they are looking into it. Hopefully this will get some sort of resolution.

Re: Speed Boost Reversed

PC World have good Sky deals on at the moment via simplify digital. TV boxsets bundle, sky fibre max + anytime calls for around £30 for 12months. £10 less gets you ADSL.
