Advance warning that all ITV channels will be off air 27 August 2016.

All ITV channels will be off air from 9:30am on 27/8/16.

http://www.thedrum.com/news/2016/06/...e-post-olympic

Viewers are advised to record some ITV programming in advance in order to fill this void and not suffer any signs of withdrawal or cold turkey 😂😂😂

The loss of the channels will be devastating to the nation. What would we all do without ITVBe in our lives....?

I wonder if Amazon or Netflix do some cheeky add suggesting people watch them for the hour instead?

To encourage participation on the day, ITV will switch off its seven channels from 9.30am to 10.30am.
I can safely say I never watch TV at this time.

Can we pay to keep Jeremy Kyle/Judge Rinder/whatever big brother celeb off the screen? Having a test card would be a better use of broadcast spectrum.

Re: Advance warning that all ITV channels will be off air 27 August 2016.

I could not think of a more stupid idea if you paid me. How dare they try to force people to do what they think is right.

In protest, I will not record any programmes shown by ITV over the whole weekend. That means all ITV programmes will be boycotted in this family as everything we watch is pre-recorded or on demand/streamed.

Didn't channel 4 go off the air on General Election day to encourage people to go out and vote ?

Can we also replace all the BBC output with test card F? More entertaining for sure.

Jeremy Kyle is apparently so bad now that appearing on his show is a terrible insult.

Some girl complained a school bullied her - because they voted her "most likely to appear on Jeremy Kyle".

Be interesting to see how much lost revenue ITV go through across all 7 channels for this hour
