Re: 50 feared dead and shots fired as lorry RAMS into crowd celebrating Bastille Day
It was only a matter of time before this happened and my only surprise is that it's taken so long. This sort of thing can happen virtually anywhere and I dare say this won't be the last such murderous attack on innocent people going about their lives. I countries likes ours, there are countless soft targets for the terrorists to choose from and sadly they don't need fancy weapons to do their damage. All that's required is a nutter or two and any number of readily available 'tools'...
It was only yesterday that Hollande was saying that the state of emergency would not be extended beyond the 26th July:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-36791666
I think they're going to have to live with it for quite a lot longer sadly.

Re: 50 feared dead and shots fired as lorry RAMS into crowd celebrating Bastille Day
Sadly, all that's required now to start 'poisoning the rest' is the internet and modern communications technology both of which are readily available. The flow of those leaving the UK to join the **** may have been reduced but what's really being done to prevent those same people (whether naive and vulnerable or worse) remaining here and doing their evil having been coached and/or inspired online?...
The truth is that it could all too easily happen here and in any number of busy locations.

Our security services and our police, hamstrung by political correctness, are just as interested (or more?) in rounding up Twitter “hate speech” offenders than criminal, rapist, or terrorist migrants. Who hate our way of life, and who will, one day, dominate our public life.

Re: Nice attack: At least 84 killed by lorry at Bastille Day celebrations
I have just seen someone posting how sick he feels about this latest atrocity.
And then get pilloried for not saying the same for previous attacks.

Typical social media addict supplying limited information and inflating an issue that may/may not exist.
Did the person you refer to comment on previous attacks and if so was he sick then or did he feel good about them?
Do you know???
It is always possible that those who have pilloried him may have done so due to previous comments he may have made. Then again not.
Bearing in mind the above comments can you please explain what you wished to achieve with your post which has no reference, no context nor anything to do with the topic of the thread.

Re: Nice attack: At least 84 killed by lorry at Bastille Day celebrations
This is going to happen more and more as we are just letting too many in with no way to screen them or vet them in anyway it's time to close Europe's doors until we can get something in place to protect all European citizens. Islam also has to get off it's backside and start doing more then just giving a speech condemning whatever latest attack many mosques will still not work with police let alone intelligence services on identifying and removing the extremist element.
Much as it goes against my personal belief freedom of speech cannot any longer apply to clerics preaching hate and intelligence nor can it be allowed on any social media and the large social media company's need to be much quicker to take down content and banning accounts. The west is going to have to make some unpleasant readjustments in certain areas in order to deal with the Islamic extremist problem and we need to take off the kid gloves and let our police, intelligence services and military assets start doing what's needed not what's politically correct. If needs be mosques and other places they frequent need to be surveiled.
My thoughts and sympathies go to the people of nice and my condolences to those who lost family and friends may the pain be no more then you can bear.

He was already there. Our 7/7 bombers were already here, they weren't let in.
