Talking Demise of a cable remote

One for Spiderplant, had to laugh our old blue Type 2 NTL remote control has finally met its maker after nearly 12 years with the last few being in retirement with the remote light is on but there is no one at home

Have any of you guys still got any old cable remotes around?

Re: Demise of a cable remote

Ring VM, and you'll get a Type 11 or Type 12 to replace it.

If you really want another Type 2, let me know and I'll see what I can do.

For the record I have a type 13 TIVo remote, the old remote was left by the engineer when we upgraded to V+ back in the day so we could used it as a spare remote! This is just a fun thread that's all in seeing who still have different type remotes and do you still use them!

Re: Demise of a cable remote

I still have the remote from our old Pace 4000 stb. Don't think it's any use for anything though. Guess I'm just a hoarder when it comes to old electronics.

Cable Remote?

The last one I saw was on our old Sony Betamax C5, which we still have.

Other codes do work - they just aren't necessarily the same codes as on the old remote. The website has already been updated (thanks to our very own BenMcr).
