Renault connection for Sony ICE

I have a Renault Scenic which has a steering wheel stalk with controls for the music. The radio station or song title etc also shows up in the dashboard clock.

I replaced the standard radio with a Sony one which of course the stalk and clock read-out won't work for. Is there a Sony adapter I can get that specifically allows them to work?

There's these:

Although, with the caveat that most of them have a note to say the stalk will work but the track display on the dash will not.

Yeah I've found lots of those but I need the dashboard display too.

Re: Renault connection for Sony ICE

Looks like you need a feature called OEM sub-display output on the head unit.

Googling around it appears that some Alpine and Pioneer head units support this and there are cables available for your car, for these head units but for a few bits of wire they're not cheap.

There doesn't seem to be anything for Sony though, however: I had the factory fit Sony head unit upgrade in my Focus ST and I'm pretty sure that it sent the radio/track information in the multifunction display.

Maybe drop an email to Sony customer service?
