The difference is the Superhub 2 AC has AC.

Not everyone has the superior knowledge that you have on technology, so is probably a genuine question.

From my perspective the wireless signal reaches my new Mac whereas before I needed a power line adaptor

AC doesn't change how far the signal 'reaches.

Didn't say it did but the super hub ac seems to have better wireless distribution in my opinion

Stating the obvious doesn't help the OP. I think he spotted the extra letters in the name

Unless there is a problem with the new shub2ac that has not yet come to light, i'd take the offer as it is more future proof. A lot of new devices (tablets, mobiles, etc.) now have ac wireless

Re: Super hub 2 v's Super hub 2 AC ?

Except it still has the same top speed of 400Mbps like the SH1 and SH2.

Wait for the superhub 3 !!!

Dana Hashem, Virgin Media’s Spokesperson, told ISPreview.co.uk:

“A small group of Virgin Media triallists are trying out a piece of equipment that features 802.11ac WiFi technology. We are always looking to bring the best products and services to our customers and will keep everyone updated as and when we bring anything new to our existing line-up.”

Re: Super hub 2 v's Super hub 2 AC ?

You seem to have confused range with performance.

Nowhere in that article does it actually say range is better.
