iPod earphones
Anyone know of any earphones that have an inline control that works on an iPod? I'm not after anything expensive, has to be under £25 as that's how much Apple charge for their replacement ones.
I'm not bothered about better sound (the standard Apples ones were just fine for me), just as long as the pause/play/skip/repeat function works.

Re: iPod earphones
Sennheiser CX400's
Buy now for 24.99 which is a steal, they're very decent ears.

Re: iPod earphones
OK order from Hong Kong then. Be sure the seller sends its 'Hong Kong Air Packets' and you should get it within a week.

Re: iPod earphones
One advantage you'll have over the stock Apple in-ears though Russ is that you always get a good selection of buds of various sizes with Sennheisers so you're pretty much guaranteed a perfect fit.
I tried the set that came with my Nano and they sounded pretty ok, far better than they used to be but they just wouldn't stay in and there's no way of altering the fit with being a static design. But if they do happen fit your ears that's cool of course.

Re: iPod earphones
The Apple earphone have always been fine, no complaints with them which is why anything close to that price or over isn't going to be worth it.

Use a remote adapter, then if you keep getting earbuds damaged, you can use 99p store ones, or use the adapter with a headband type headset if you prefer

You'd be surprised though Russ once you try other earphones, how bad the Apple basic buds actually are.
My main ones were £55 and they sound fantastic if you get the right sized buds on them and get a great seal, it boosts the bass and also reduces the need to have the volume as loud as it blocks out most external noise.
I have a special pair from Ultimate ears that are more like in ear monitors and they were £110 I've yet to find anything as good sounding.
Its worth paying upwards of £25-30 as the sound improvements over the standard Apple things is phenomenal.
Sennheiser make some great earphones at various price ranges too. Have had a few good pairs of them over the years too.

The apple earphones I got with the iTouch about 4 years ago are excellent and still in use today, but the pair I got with a nano looks the same but are really rubbish in comparison. I take it the £25 ones are the same as the nano ones or newer ones.

Re: iPod earphones
Senheisser CX-300IIs win over the standard Apple earbuds any day, so I would reckon the 400s will as well, promise you won't be disappointed

Re: iPod earphones
I too vote for the Senheisser CX-300II, great headphones compared to the Apple ear pods.

Re: iPod earphones
If I could make it absolutely clear one final time.....
I'm not interested in 'better sound quality'. While I'm out on a run that's really not the biggest thing on my mind at the time! The standard earphones quality is fine for me.
I like the idea of the Belkin adapter though and might go for that.
