Noise On Line

Last night we were in the middle of a phone call (using a cordless phone) when all of a sudden there was huge interference - very loud buzzing and whistling sorts of noises - which meant we had to end the call. When we tried to phone back all we got was this interference on all three cordless phones.

Then I tried our one wired phone and that was fine which was very strange.

This morning all the cordless were still making a huge noise and when I phoned the landline number from the mobile, I was charged - meaning I had got through - but couldn't hear anything because of the interference.

Then being stuck, I turned the cordless ansaphone on and off and still had the problem - then turned the cordless phone off at the electric - turned it on and we haven't had the interference since ...... yet !!!!!!

Anyone know what that might have been????

Re: Noise On Line

If another phone is fine, then not a Line Fault.
So cordless/base station power supply malfunction, perhaps?

As long as it doesn't happen again, you are OK!
