If i upgrade to TIVO will it envoke a new 12 month contract?

Hello,

First of all just wanted to say hi, i have been lurking for a few months and have found the site to be of great help with a lot of my questions, as well as finding whats coming up.

I have been thinking about TIVO for a while and have a couple of questions.

1) I have noticed an offer for free installation and a free TIVO box for new customers (on the VM site), can existing customers get this deal?

2) If i upgrade to a TIVO box does this envoke a new 12 month contract?

Cheers for any help offered

1) You' can get free activation worth £49.95, but still have to pay £49.95 for "Standard Engineer Installation" (unless you can get lucky with retentions).
2) Yes

Re: If i upgrade to TIVO will it envoke a new 12 month contract?

Thanks for the reply.

So even though i am renewing my 12 month contract they will not scrub the £49.99 installation fee, even though it will be less for VM to do over a new install, as i already have the bb phone and V+HD box.

Guess that had made my mind up about getting TIVO, my contract is up in Feb so will see how keen they are to abolish the charge when i am out of contract.

Its a shame as i like the VM TV & BB and am happy with the price i am paying.

Hi

Have got 50meg, phone and XL TV

I upgraded to tivo about a week ago and although now on a new contract i got free installation and activation and free 500 gig box (not sure if this box is free or not). Think this offer on the website finished today though!!!

Installation is a bit far away 13th dec, so will ring next week to see if there are any cancellations or earlier dates
