I'm confused

Just called CS with regards to changing some of our services.
We currently have a V+ box and a standard box.
We want to keep the V+ box and replace the standard box with TiVo.

Now we have the Sky Movies and Sky Sports package too but was told by a Scottish lady at CS that we would have to pay two subscriptions to the Movies and Sports channels if we wanted to go ahead,( one for each box you could say).

With regard to the TiVo i was told that for the 1tb box there was a one off charge of £149.99 with a free install and it would be £10 a month cheaper than the 500gb TiVo.

I know all this is dependant on individual terms depending on what we have currently and in fact we would be saving on a monthly basis overall but the one subscription per box seems a bit odd.

We are on the VIP50 which is...

TV XL
BB XXL 50meg
Phone XL
Sky Movies and Sports package
V+ Box
Plus additional Standard STB.

Is all this correct??

Re: I'm confused

With VIP50 you set Sky Movies and Sports SD on all boxes plus the HD version on one box. If you want the HD versions on the other box then you will get charged an extra £7, although it looks like that charge will be dropped soon as the HD charge will be per account rather than the current per box

There is no monthly fee for VIP50 users so not sure where the £10 a month figure came from

Re: I'm confused

I thought they now charged £99.95 for the 1TB box?

The VIP50 should be £101.46 a month with a TiVo and V+ box. I wouldn't bother subscribing to the Sky Premium HD channels on any extra boxes. It is going to be a per account charge by October which should cover all HD boxes you have. Although I don't know how they are going to roll that out.

Re: I'm confused

Thanks for that. They also said that i needed to talk to retentions regarding the 100meg BB as we are still on a contract??
This is odd as we have had the 50meg for over 18months now. The only thing i can think of is that we got the Superhub to replace the standard modem earlier this year so possibly that could be the reason.
