disconnecting issues

Good Evening Everyone.

In the past couple of days we've kept losing our internet connection and it lasts for three or 4 minutes at a time. Checking the pwer levels I think they are in spec.

Basically every other hour we lose our connection once or twice. The superhub doesn't appear to lose connection or reboot, but we cannot access the web during these periods via ethernet or wireless. Last night during one of these periods I rebooted the superhub three times as it was not reconnecting - it just stayed as Access Denied, I thought we'd been cut off for some reason! Recently I haven't bothered rebooting the superhub as internet comes back within 5 minutes. It is getting rather tiring though.

I am wondering if it is an issue our end or maybe one with the network? They could still be doing upgrades I am thinking.

While typing this post it disconnected twice more, with pages saying "The Connection Was Reset" or taking an age to load

speeds seem perfect though:

Firewall is turned off as well as IP Flood Detection.

Ping test:

All is fine again. Why is my connection seeming to go through this loop for the past couple of days?

a few minutes later:

mind you everything loading real slow during this period.

Re: disconnecting issues

Try setting the LAN IP lease time expiry to something like 9999999. By default I think it's set to an hour (3600)

Re: disconnecting issues

I had another drop out this evening, no web pages were loading for around 5 minutes but I was still chatting fine in IRC and my messages were going through ok. I then had a period after that where my ping/jitter was a little erratic, so far this evening no packet loss like last night, but I will see how it does later.

Nothing in the error log - it does seem to me that is definitely not my end but an issue in the area or with the particular UBR.
