SKy/BT wholesale support

Hi

Iv not long moved from a virgin media cable connection to sky's connect package, about 4 weeks ago. I know this is a BT wholesale product. Im looking for someone at Sky Broadband who could help me out by checking my line in woosh. Iv had a huge drop in speed 0.01Mbps browsing is almost impossible pings are siting around 80 - 100. And well sky BB support has been unwilling to help me on this.

Or do any of you know a forum for sky/dsl that is as good as the cable forum that I could use to get some help?

Thanks

Moved to Other ISPs

I'm afraid the main problem is, most likely, the simple fact that you're on Sky Connect

If you read around here or various other forums you'll find that Connect is not very well thought of, to put it mildly...

I would always recommend Sky's LLU broadband (Unlimited, Everyday Lite), but I'd not wish Connect upon anyone.

If you want to try a more Sky-oriented forum, have a look at Sky User

This is an on-going Connect thread at Sky user: http://www.skyuser.co.uk/forum/sky-b...ect-users.html

And another one here at CF: http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/63...y-connect.html

You'll find similar tales of woe at Digital Spy and other forums.

EDIT: I think there's one member here who works for Sky BB in some way. If he still does, maybe he;ll have better advice for you if he see this thread.

Re: SKy/BT wholesale support

Thanks.. Yeh I wasnt expecting it to be very good. But it was not my choice to make would have kept the virgin media line my self.

Thanks for the links very informative! Trying my luck on the bt community site at the moment.

Edit: Im suspecting traffic shaping.. as my connection is now working fine.. oh well.

Ok worked out it is traffic shaping/throttling.

Mods can close the thread if you want.
