Re: Access Denied
It also sounds like it is in the walled garden due to the Access Denied message, but the upstream power level is also way to high.

Re: Access Denied
No upstream can be as high as 55db. Some areas where I work cannot achieve an us lower than 50. -3 to +7 is optimum levels for downstream

Re: Access Denied
You mean an attenuator, that actually lowers your signal, If it's a round one this will be causing you the issue. Virgin don't have boosters, the closest thing they have is an hdu which splits the signal 4 ways without loosing any signal.

Your booster will have no effect on the modem signal levels.

Re: Access Denied
To increase power levels you need to be moved up in the cab.
Access denied message however is odd. I would suggest there is a provisioning issue there.

Re: Access Denied
i had this exact scenario today. SH offline all night and in config status access : denied. phoned up and they had an engineer out within 2 hours and he fit a new attenuator which reduced the power levels from 53 to 48 db, he said tho that the original power levels was fine to begin with. anyway it worked.

Looks like he swapped the fat attenuator for a forward path attenuator

It reduces attenuation which makes the downstream higher and the upstream lower
