This is not a problem yes, so my query is more a question of "what if" ....
My TV is a Phillips, and although is an HD TV, does not come with a native HDMI socket. I had to buy a HDMI-9 pin converter.
Picture is brill in HD, so this works well.
Thanks to the non HDMI socket, I do not get sound through the TV, which does not concern me as I have connected the V+ HD box to a cheap amp via Phono. I prefer it this way.
I have heard that newer boxes do not carry phono sockets, so should my current box ever break, there is a 50/50 chance that I may recieve a newer one that will not give me the ability of connecting sound to the Amp.
I suppose I could connect a scart to phono connector which would do the job, but can anyone suggest a better method ?
(With the exception of buying new equipment)!
Thanks
