Upgrade or just sit tight?

Hi all
After all the "you get HD sports, movies with VIP,No you dont, only for 6months, VIP will be upgraded in the new year etc" threads, can i ask this question?.
Do you think i should stay where i am or upgrade to VIP 50?

i`m currently on VIP20 paying £97.99,upgrade to VIP 50 will make this £103,now thats not a lot of differance i know but still needs to be found.
My main concern is that if i upgrade i will tie myself into a new 12 month contract, when they do the revamp of VIP will i get that upgrade,(whatever that may be) or will i have to wait untill my contract runs out again and then go through the retentions route to get it,not my most favourite job, always seem to end up paying more, getting less.
Really must go on a haggling course

Hd sports, movies would be nice, but i`m just not sure that i can justify the extra cost when there is so much uncertainty about the whole VIP package.

Maybe i`m just a tight wad
Any thoughts?
Cheers
Colin

Yup! you're a tight wad

It's your call. Is it worth £60 over the course of a year for youto get movies and sports in HD?

If so upgrade, if not stay put

Re: Upgrade or just sit tight?

Well for that few extra £ a month you would not only be getting the HD Sports and movies but going from 20MB BB to 50MB.

To me that small extra amount each month would be worth it for getting 50MB and HD sports and movies.

Its totally up to you.

Re: Upgrade or just sit tight?

When you consider that quite a few sports fans have agreed to pay an extra £7/month for 2 HD channels, an extra £5/month for 13 HD channels and super fast BB is not much in comparison.

Re: Upgrade or just sit tight?

Thanks all for the replys
My main point was more about the new VIP`s due out in the new year, not so much the cost of the upgrade.
T o be honest i really dont have a great need for 50 meg so staying on 20 would be fine, what i dont want to do is upgrade to 50meg to get the sports/movies in Hd,only to find that in the new year they bundle that with the 20meg vip and maybe the 50 meg gets the new combined modem/router for instance and they then dont upgrade you to the new package.
Hopefully you can make sense of this
cheers
