tbf, it was in one of the constituencies where they weigh the majority, rather than count it.....

Are you implying obesity among the Tory faithful?

That would assume that they are mostly bloated plutocrats....

A result that Labour or indeed the Lib Dems could mirror if you were judging their results on two old safe seats now combined.
But heh that little fact ruins the fantasy...

Re: Tories win delayed general election vote

erm, if two old safe seats were combined, the number of voters would total 140,000 to 180,000; perhaps you meant that parts of two old safe seats were combined.

But heh that little fact ruins the fantasy.

The new constituency took electoral wards from Ryedale and Vale of York. The electoral wards used in the new constituency are: The entire district of Ryedale, The Scarborough wards of Filey and Hertford,
the Hambleton wards of Easingwold, Helperby, Huby with Sutton, Shipton, Sowerby, Stillington, Thirsk, Thorntons, Tollerton, Topcliffe, White Horse, and Whitestonecliffe.
