2 product bundle (TV & BB) w/o phone?

Hi,

I am currently enjoying the following Virgin package:

TV XL plus Sky Movies & Sports
BB L
Phone M (with Talk International)
V+ box plus second standard box

I am currently paying 75 pounds for this package.

I would like to reduce my monthly costs but have some questions that I hope you VM experts can answer:

1/ I never ever use the landline phone and only got it because at the time I signed up, the full package came in cheaper with it than without. Is this still the case?

2/ What I would really like to have is: TV XL (with V+), BB L. If I save money, I would also be happy giving up my second standard box and use Freeview in that room. Is there any financially sensible deal for TV XL & BB L only, with no telephone line etc? What would that cost?

3/ If I scale down my package to TV XL, BB L (and potentially the landline), would that constitute a new 12 month contract or could I leave VM or change the package again, e.g. scale it down again, in a few months?

I was even briefly considering going for BB L only as a single service purchase (without TV and the phone) but I guess I would hate myself for not being able to watch the World Cup in HD then, so I think I will change to TV & Broadband IF I can get this at a sensible price. Therefore, your thoughts and answers to the above questions will be greatly appreciated.

Just call them and ask to have your phone line removed, this means you don't have to pay the Â£11.99 line charge at least and will probably save you even more. I have TV L with a V+ HD, broadband XL and a second box (V HD). This is Â£36 a month, I'd be interested if you could post any price you are quoted as I'm contemplating upgrading to TV XL but don't now how much that would cost.

The best they could do for me was

TV XL (with 1 V+ & 1 standard box)
BB L
Tel M

@ GBP 44.50.

The price given without the phone line was 48 something.

They also quoted 20 pounds /month for BB L without any other services, e.g. no phone line. I will now re-consider giving up my TV package and go for the BB offer only.
