Floor collapses at Weight Watchers meeting

I shouldn't laugh really, but:

Quote:
A floor collapsed beneath a group of about 20 members of Weight Watchers as they gathered to compare how many pounds they had shed over Christmas.

Re: Floor collapses at Weight Watchers meeting

They should do it in groups of 5. the rest can listen how much weight each other has lost from outside the door.

Re: Floor collapses at Weight Watchers meeting

I'd rather blame the building contractors, even with 20 people in there the floor should have been able to cope.

Still though it's great free advertising for weight watchers

Oh yes. It sounds like a construction fault. That doesn't change the fact that it's funny as hell though.

Yes, if the weight was spread evenly. they were all gathered around the scales so the weight was focused one one spot.

then you've got them all jumping up and down with excitement. which wouldn't help

Read the article properly, the floor seperated from the walls (so it pancaked) this isn't indicitive of all the weight being in one spot (not unless they were all huddled along one side of a wall, but still that shouldn;t have given way in a properly designed building
