Downgrading

Hi.

I want to dowgrade my broadband from 20mb to 10mb.

Is there anyway to do it online or is the only option to phone up?
Does it cost to downgrade?
What is the current price of £10mb?

Also, I'm actually thinking of binning Virgin Media oafter christmas as would be much cheaper for me to get phone/Broadband with sky seeing as I have TV with Sky, but was just wondering if the contract when signing up with Virgin was 12 months or 18 months? I've been with Virgin 13 months but can't remember, so hopeing it's 12

Thanks

Re: Downgrading

It is likely you are on a 12 month contract so are free to give 30 days notice now.

Without knowledge of your current Advance Charges, it is not possible to comment on the likely price reduction on downgrading from BB XL to BB L. Please post these charges and someone will be able to help.

Re: Downgrading

BUT if you do downgrade bee VERY carefull. if they put you on a new bundle price then it will start a new 12 months contract and the unbundled price could end up costing more.

Re: Downgrading

I only have the internet from virgin so I should be safe from any new contract?

Re: Downgrading

Yes if its only 1 service you wont get a bundled price, so downgrading should bee safe, as long as they dont offer you any "special" price for the downgrade.
