VM say in their letter that Sky are increasing the price of its Premium channels and that the costs are being passed on to VM customers as well as their own.I have Sky Sports 1& 2 and am going to be charged £1.50/month more.
Tale a look at http://packages.sky.com/buy/premium-...riceChangeInfo for the Sky price changes from !/9/09.
You will see that the only people who will pay more for Sky Sports are those who take at least 4 Entertainment Packs as well as the Sports. In fact, many Sky customers only taking Sports 1 OR 2 will be paying less. and most taking 1 AND 2 will pay no increase whatsoever.
It looks like VM are trying to con us!

Yes - Sky require Virgin to charge a certain amount for the channels and that is what Virgin then charge the customers. If Sky put that up Virgin have to as well

If you also notice that Sky have now put all the core mix prices up by £1 - so are subsidising the Premium channels by charging customers more on other services
Also on Virgin M and M+ customers aren't having a price change either - so equivalent to the 1/2 mix thing on Sky

And your proof for that (apart from Sky charging their own customers a different price) would be.......?

You miss the point!
In their letter VM say that Sky are increasing prices to their own customers as well as VM customers. However, the majority of SKY customers subscribing to SKY Sports will not pay any increase. The price shown on the SKY website for Sky Sports includes the cost of the core mix.So, to put it plainly, a Sky subscriber with 1 Entertainment pack and Sky Sports 1& 2 was paying £35.50/month and will still be paying £35.50 from September 1st. A VM customer subscribing to Sky Sports will be paying £1.50/month more after October 1st.
So that is my proof for suggesting VM customers were being conned!

Yes they will and 1-3 mixes on Sky are equivalent of the M and M+ packages on Virgin

The Sky Premium increases on Virgin only affects L and XL customers - which would be equivalent of 4-6 mixes on Sky who are also having a price increase
Ill say it again
M and M+ customers will not be paying any more for the Sky Premiums than they do now

Re: Price change 1st oct
Am I correct to assume that as a subscriber of the VIP pack, I will therefore pay £1.50 extra per month for that service??
I just received the letter this morning!
