Depends entirely if they agree to it being faulty

Re: Can I get my money back ?

Worth doing a google on the model number - if other people are having the same problem that'll help you persuade them - or even help you fix the problem

Re: Can I get my money back ?

I played around with the settings and there was no new firmware for it.
Even did a factory reset.
Changed the ethernet leads to new ones, also tried the old ones.

Re: Can I get my money back ?

It would not happen to be the Linksys WRT160N router. I brought this one and only got half speed on my 20 meg, I had to alter the network adapter speed setting from full Duplex to Auto Negotiation, after doing this I got my full 20 meg.

Re: Can I get my money back ?

Yes it is a Linksys WRT160N.
My Network card is already on Auto Negotiation under Speed & Duplex.
The network card is a gigabyte version

I get about 24/25mb from the it, but with the Netgear WNR2000 N router I get 47/50mb.

How I tested the speed
