LCD Monitor Resolution

Hey guys im using my monitor at what I believe is its native resolution (1280 x 1024). I have just upgraded the gfx card from an HD3450 to a 4850, and in the ATI Catalyst Control Centre (Under Monitor Properties, Sub Category is Attributes) there is a section called Monitor Attributes, and a tick box which is currently ticked. Now upon clearing this tick it gives me a Maximum Resolution Rate (1280 x 1024) and a Maximum Refresh Rate (75Hz) If I was to select another resolution, in the CCC would it override the res set in Windows?

Re: LCD Monitor Resolution

if you set the res higher than native on an LCD monitor, it would likely go black and tell you the settings are out of range. I'd leave it at 1280x1024. lower than that it it will look blurry.

the CCC and the windows monitor settings should be tied together anyway, so any changes made in one would be reflected in the other.
