Constant inbound "attack"

Hi,

My router firewall is showing IP address 10.130.80.1 constantly (24/7)doing a DOS attack. As this is a private IP address this seems weird. Anyone have any idea what/who this is?

Thanks,

G

Re: Constant inbound "attack"

This should be your modem talking to router.
Run a tracert to the bbc, this should show router first hop, 10 ip as the 2nd hop.

Re: Constant inbound "attack"

Isn't the 10.* address the first hop to the street cabinet?

Or is my memory playing tricks again?

Spot on,
I had previously tried to tracert to that specific address and got nothing back, but I can see the hop if I trace to an address further down the line

Thanks
