Jewish population on the increase

I remember a friend of mine working for a ultra-authodox Jewish lady who had 13 children.

The rise appears to be due to a growth in the size of ultra-orthodox Jewish families, according to researchers at the University of Manchester.

The population fell to a historic low of 275,000 in 2005, but that figure has since increased to 280,000 in 2008.

The figures were based on UK census data and the monitoring of Jewish births by academics.

[of course, this does depend rather on the definition of 'Jewish birth', which presumably includes my niece and nephew*, despite them both being since baptised Catholic. No. 3 is on the way. Anyone else think there are a lot of people having kids at the moment?]

* My sister's kids. My son isn't, as the rule is matrilinearity.

I'm not insane or trying to be funny.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, i hate jewish people, i wouldnt shed a tear, your right, but as i said, i have my reasons.
