Wigan Area - Very Poor BB Speeds?

Hi Everyone,

Is anyone in Wigan or the surrounding areas experiencing very slow connections speeds? My connection has been terrible now for just under a week, with intermittent downtimes of upto 4 hours. I'm on 8MB and for the last 5/6 days have been averaging between 550kb/s and 800kb/s - which is just unacceptable!

I've been with Telewest for 6 years and never had any problems until Virgin took over!!

Is anyone else have a similar problem?

Best Wishes!

Re: Wigan Area - Very Poor BB Speeds?

No downtime here in Oldham but speeds during the daytime have been down to 27KB/s, VM say that there is a damaged cable somewhere but they don’t know where and they obviously don’t know when it will be fixed.

I get the feeling that we are in an old car which is gradually falling to bits around us, all we can hope is that it will be taken off the road when it fails it’s next MOT, in other words when no one will lend them money to carry on.
