Obtaining a phone number for BT connection

Im moving into a new house with my fiancee this week and i need to get BT to connect our phone line and give us a phone number, so that i can get sky phone / bb installed.

Does anybody know the number or what department i need to ring to sort this out, i rang customer services but got through to somebody who was totally incompetent.

Have you tried 0800 800 150?

Yeah i did and some very unhelpful bloke said i'd have to speak to the new lines department lol

Did you ask him to put you through or to give you the number?

Anyway you do have to call 0800800150 thats the right number..

Isn't the online option where you find a call plan and buy it though?

All i wanted to do is get a phone number sorted for the phone line that's in the house i've bought.

Well you can pick the free standard call plan then, just cick sign up and follow the process through.
