Question Amazon/BBC site caching problems on Firefox?

Hello,

Just rejoined VM broadband after a few years dalliance with BT and Tiscali.

Having big problems with Firefox 2.0.0.9 on XP Media Edition + SP2 [Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.8.1.9) Gecko/20071025 Firefox/2.0.0.9] and certain sites like amazon.co.uk and bbc.co.uk.

I'm getting frequent blank pages served up. I can hit <CTRL>Refresh any number of times, and every now and then I'll get the page but next click and an empty page again. Visiting the same pages with IE6, no problems at all.

Can anybody point me at some Firefox settings that I need to look at, and recommend settings please?
