Webmail and Outlook Express

Hi everyone,

A couple of daft questions to start of my first post.

Webmail

This has recently stopped working when i connect to it in work. Mostly it gives me the message below, but sometimes it will login show me the messages in my in-box but when i click on anything the Session invalid message appears again.

"Session invalid.
This message occurs because you have either previously logged out
or your session has automatically timed out."

I'm guessing that maybe my work has done something to webmail access but my webmail.virgin.net account works just fine. Any suggestions?

Outlook Express

I thought i might try gettign round the issue by using Outlook express but pop/smtp settings provided by VM don't work when I'm in work, is this because I'm not on the VM network, i.e. my home pc?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Re: Webmail and Outlook Express

on outlook you need to put pop.virgin.net as your pop server and you also need your user name and a password.

Re: Webmail and Outlook Express

Sorry, missed a few important bits out.

When i'm at home i'm on the old ntl network so use the pop.ntlworld.com address. This works fine at home but doesn't at work.

I have a separate virgin.net e-mail that i can access by webmail when i'm at work but my ntlworld accounts i cant.

Re: Webmail and Outlook Express

its possible that the work have stopped acccess to it

pop.ntlworld.com should work from any internet conenction, try putting "telnet pop.ntlworld.com 110" without the quotes intothe run box and see if it connects via telnet
