Question Is extra subscription needed for Virgin Central ?

After all the fanfare of the new channel virgin central as anybody actually got acess to this channel and content. It was supposed to replace sky and compensate for the loss of sky channels, I was led to believe at the time. I have not been able to acess this channel for months. Press the red button, they are having a laugh nothing happens on my V+ just sits there. When I try to connect to Virgin central via the VOD demand menu every time I pick a program on Virgin Central it says I am not subscribed. Not good. I have reset the box and still same problem. So question is Virgin central part of the L pack or not. If it is now not I feel diddled paying more for less.

£5 a month on L, free on XL. You should be able to access some programming on VOD however.

No, AFAIK Virgin Central and Catch up on demand are free with all packs.
bywater, you'll need to phone customer services to check your account.

Re: Is extra subscription needed for Virgin Central ?

From what I've read, Virgin Central IS part of the L package, but you have to go to Virgin Central and press the red button and the content there will be free (the other VOD content, except for Catch Up Tv (and Virgin Central) is not). If you access Virgin Central from the VOD menu, it will not let you have it for free. If the red button is not working, you'll probably need to get that sorted before you'll be able to enjoy Virgin Central

Hope this helps

I'm on the L package and Customer services told me last week that I would need to upgrade the package to watch Virgin Central, I said don't bother.
