HD Channels for V+

Does anyone know when we V+ users will get some proper HD channels ?

ok so BBC HD is a proper HD channel but christ its worse than when Channel 4 first came out, i turned on my tv the other night and Minority Report was on BBC 1 and i thought OMG i bet its on BBCHD aswell, but oh no, BBC HD was mirroring BBC2 that night so we could all watch some <removed> Opera in HD.

So when will we get as many channels as SKY HD ?

Mod Edit (Matt D) - Please do not try & avoid the swear filter...

Remember the old saying; 'if u don't ask, u won't get'.

Don't be holding your breath at the moment for anymore HD channels on VM - there are whispers and unconfirmed rumours of Discovery HD, History HD or National Geographic HD "sometime" this year that have been posted elsewhere on these boards and other sites - but the Sky HD channels such as Sky Sports HD, and Movies HD are unfortunately looking very unlikely to ever turn up on Virgin, as relations between them are almost non existent right now.

Its a shame, because VM's HD offer could be so much better than the selection currently available via VOD and our one trial BBC HD channel, Whilst that is a beginning, both existing and new customers will expect to see the provision of HD channels on our platform match the availability on offer through the DSat platform - they're not interested in the internecince politics of it all, just the content.

Heck, they could make a start by converting in-house channels such as Living and Bravo to having a HD option, and UKTV channels like UKTV History/Documentary/Gardens getting HD versions.
