Sky 24Mb Broadband

Are there any plans for Sky to increase their 16Mb broadband to 24Mb?

They can do this, doesn't make sense why they don't. Also do they have any plans to increase the upload to 1Mb like Bulldog and Be?

Dunno the 21M sync / 18M throughput mine does seems far from crap so dread what you think of 10Mbit that your ISP offers as its' maximum, let alone the 2Mbit you have (which I might add 75%+ of people in the UK could get on their lines).

To answer the original question in a non-'It's not cable so it's rubbish' way I'm not aware of anything or any reason to. The values given are a compromise between speed and stability. Offering 24Mbit is a bit misleading as even if you sync up at a full 24M you won't actually see 24M of throughput, close to 21-22.

And if you want to "upgrade" your service to a bulldog level then I can only point you in the direction of Shaun Ms' site and it's numerous unhappy campers lol.

ukonline offer the 24meg size and that's the same company that supply the sky ADSL product.

Re: Sky 24Mb Broadband

I know this is slightly off-thread, but just checking ukonline as a comparison, they can only offer upto 2MB in my area at £24.99 a month, which seems very expensive, and I'd probably not get that speed.
