BT Master Socket Wiring

BT Master Socket Wiring

Hello,

I have recently discovered an BT line, so i was gonna wire it myself i already have the master socket, but i think the cabling is abit old

It consists of 4 colours

Blue
Brown
Green
Orange

could someone who know please help me to which number input it goes in ie: 1-6 on a master socket (though i think 1 and 6 are used in residential propertys)

nope 1-6 is for the extensions at the top the shud be an a slot and a b slot and it will be orange and blue you will use m8 orange in a slot and blue in b slot.but wot is it is it ur main bt wire or for an extesion m8 pls let me know or you cud look at this

My main BT wire had a green wire going to A and B (This results in a blank line)

Then the OTHER colours going into numbers 2, 3, 4, 5 (1 and 6 is not used in my line)

ah k thanks. What should i do with the green and brown then? or should i just leave them unwired.
