Green cabinet problem
I've got an ongoing problem, on which I hope someone may be able to advise me. The green cabinet outside our house was all but destroyed earlier this year. At first it was partially obscured by a leylandii (think this is why a car reversed into it), and our TV etc was still working, so I wasn't too concerned. The lower branches of the leylandii were recently removed to clear a road sign and the box was now exposed. The box is completely missing top and doors and is buckled in from either side, and open to the elements and visible to any little scrote who happens by. We made our first call to the NTL CS and were told it was to be passed to the relevant department, and it would be resolved. Nothing.......
Two months and a half-a-dozen calls later, from myself and neighbours, has resulted in a half-a-dozen promises to fix it made and broken. My neighbour was told by an engineer not to bother calling and that NTL would never fix it!!
My fiance (much better at the shouting stuff ) called them a few days ago, and got the same fatuous reply. She stated she was going to complain, and asked for the MD's name and the HQ address, and the CS person refused to give it out! We've now got his name, and a website gave us his email, as NTL said they don't offer an email service to complain (would probably crash their systems through sheer volume!)
Has anyone had any success with emails? Can anyone suggest another course of action other than taking a metalwork class and repairing the damn thing myself?!
Congratulations to NTL though, they may have succeded where I've failed, I might be allowed to put a SKY dish on the side of the house as my other half was so furious by the time she'd finished with CS!

It will never get fixed!
At best they will cover it with loads of duct tape at best!
It's a case of put up or walk to sky!
You may find though after giving this reason to the retensions team something may just get done! (I doubt it though, good luck!)

Re: Green cabinet problem
There'd be more duct tape than metal!! It's currently a one and a half sided cabinet!!
I don't really want to go to Sky, because I'm happy with the rest of the service, never had an issue with broadband or phone, and the TV has only been an issue recently with stuttering pictures on a few channels. It's just that CS are so evasive and downright disrespectful.

Call 0870 888 3116 then select option 1.

That it the old Telewest Number but since the merger they have now taken over cab maintenance for all of ntl.

Re: Green cabinet problem
Someone has now put a black bin liner over the crumpled box, and secured it with <drum roll> duct tape.
Unsure if it was NTL or just the vandals around here have got a weird sense of humour.......
