Ripped Up Cable Cab

What exactly happens if you see a cable cab with doors left open, all the wires and insides ripped open for about 3 weeks?

This is the case on my street, now my service (Broadband) isn't affected, perhaps i could be because im connected to a different cab, but i am worried that there are many old people on my street, over 70 years whos phone lines could be out because of this and they don't know, anything could happen to them.

What servvices are usually affected when something like this happens and how to get it fixed ASAP?

Re: Ripped Up Cable Cab

You will find all services are routed via this cabinet, TV, Broadband and Phone, (unless the cabinet has been replaced, with a new cabinet beside it). I would recommend a call to NTL/Telewest so they can send out an engineer to check.

Re: Ripped Up Cable Cab

It turned out the cab is "out of service" they left a notice saying it'd been moved to another location and they have since put a green dustbin bag over it with black tape on it

Re: Ripped Up Cable Cab

Yeah, ntl really are irresponsible when it comes to their cabs.
The one just up the road from me is sellotaped up because the techy forgot to lock it. The one in the other road is brown and black where someone set it alight (it doesn't look too bad, which is more than you can say for the hedge just behind it!). They've been that way for over a year now.
