NTL on PC
Sorry if ive posted this in the wrong forum
OK here goes...
Basically all i want to know is, if i want to get ntl digital on my pc, do i need to buy another reciever or can i just split the connection that goes to my modem, straight into a tv card on my pc. Is there some software that i can get then to find the channels etc???
thanks
Matt

Re: NTL on PC
 to the forum
you wont get the full range of channels only terrestial.Best way would be to get a scart to composite cable and input this to your pc card.the sound then can be routed to your line in using a 3.5mm stereo headphone jack plug to phono adapter (will cost a few pence) then you will switch your channels using your digi box.

Re: NTL on PC
If you haven't already been conned into ntl, you'd be better off finding an alternative.
I've had an ongoing problem with them for months and everytime I phone them I can only do it when I have at least an hour to waste. That's how long it takes just to get through their irritating taped messages to an actual human-being.
Then allow for 'accidental' disconnections.

Re: NTL on PC
Have you already got digital tv & want to watch on your PC, as well? If so, it is just a case of splitting the RF lead from the set top box, the TV card should come with software for tuning in the channels & viewing them on your monitor. You will only be able to watch the same digital program as on your main TV, though.
If you don't have a set top box then it is possible to split the feed to a cable modem & recieve terrestrial channels (only), but it is strictly against the terms & conditions of your NTL contract & you could be charged for any problems arising....

Hello Mr Sux, you have to realise that this is not always the case. NTL are not all bad, and there are far worse companies around.
