is 2mb worth it?

i was pondering over upgrading to 2mb from blueyonder, from 1mb, but does the extra speed merit the extra £10 price? is it a noticible difference from 1mb?
I use the internet for about 5hrs a day, download files up to 1gb in size and browse quite alot.
If the price was less then of course i would buy it but it seems quite expensive.
Do you guys think its worth it?
also, is there any info on future speed upgrades/price reductions?

Having gone from 1 to 2 meg only a few months ago I did notice a difference. However I think you would notice the difference more if you did a lot of gaming or downloading.

For surfing I don't think it is worth it but as said above if you download a lot it might be
