But do we have a guide on how to set up wireless networks (in newbie format?), My dad has ordered the following router: http://www.shop.bt.com/invt/cbx109

and what i need to know is how i will set it up wirelessly for 2 PC's, and also will i be able to still use AOL with the built in modem? If there is not a guide i wonder if someone technical (wheres Raistlin? ) could knock one up, not only for this kit, but for also other routers as well?

If nobody has spare time then i understand.

Re: Just a thought

If you look around the site there are quite a few differing forum threads and even articles on wireless, from choice of kit, through to principles of securing the network.

The basic principles of setup are the same. Get the kit out of box, plug it all in and run the setup wizards. Each manufacturer will have slightly differing procedures, so a guide to setup specifics is not that practical. Most decent manufacturer's also offer good on line FAQs to help in support and troubleshooting.

My advice is simply to read the manufacturer's user guide / instructions. At that point seek help if something doesn't go to plan.

Re: Just a thought

Yuo can use AOL just use your aol email and password on the ADSL connection settings on the wirless router, so then you would not need the router, I belive you can also sign in over BT broadband if you have a paid up AOL account.
