Connection Interrupted

Hi guys , having problems here. When playing COD online I keep getting "Connection Interrupted" coming on the screen and I freeze for about 10 secs then start again . Today I was trying to download Linspire (Linux) Tried via their http server and stopped after 37 % and timed out then I tried via their FTP server and gor to about 27% and next time I looked it was 8 % so i think the connection dropped and then resumed. Its becoming annoying now as its happening regularly. Any help appreciated

Re: Connection Interrupted

a few questions first

what is your set up, are you on a stb or sacm are you using a wireless/wired router or have any thing else in the system.

As much information would help.

Re: Connection Interrupted

I have this problem alot, turn your pc and modem off, turn your modem back on and wait for 10 minutes before using your connection.

It seems to be a common problem if the modem is frequently turned off, for example at night and then turned on again in the morning.

Just make sure you don't use your connection too soon, give it time to connect properly and stabilise.

the only thing you could try your self is conecting to the sacm direct (taking the router out of system) if the fault has gone then it is the router if not call ntl ask them for a tech visit explaining your fault.

Re: Connection Interrupted

There were some problems with a few Linksys firmwares. For me it presented itself as problems playing CS:Source. Can you specify what model / firmware version of router you have?

SACM - Standalone Cable Modem

STB - Digital TV Set Top Box. In some ntl areas these are used for broadband instead of a separate standalone cable modem.
