Rdy light flashing often now a days

Now a days I loose my connection often. Most of the time Rdy light in cable modem just keep flashing while Sync light is steady green. Downstream light flashes occassionally as well when this happen..............

Any idea what this means? Sync is achieved as Sync LED is fine. What does Rdy light do?

I wonder whether adding up so many people by giving them at 10 pounds per month has started to see effect...............

Even their service status page says Intermittent service in Bishop Stortford area...........I had the same intermittent loss and I live in Bracknell, Berkshire.....

Is anybody else seeing such problem in the last 30 days ? (often)

Have you checked your signal levels on the modem? Might be a localised issue that needs an engineer call out.

No I did not contact NTL..........It came up again on its own.........Its working fine now..............sometimes this happens all of a sudden......

On the morning of Wednesday the 13th July between midnight and 6am, the following work will take place:

Network upgrades will result in a brief loss of service in the Renfrew and Stockton areas.

On the morning of Thursday the 14th July between midnight and 6am, the following work will take place:

I'd call NTL if I were you. We had this happen every day for a week. An engineer arrived within 48 hours of me calling and fixed it for us.

Re: Rdy light flashing often now a days

I had this happen last month over a duration of several days. I reported it to NTL Faults, prompting a couple of engineer visits. The problem was a bit further down the road from my house, just a few house numbers along.
