Channels

Just pulled the box out the loft so tried connecting it to see if it works.Currently have sky so was going to have the box upstairs,now getting channels 1-5 fine the odd other channel but interactive throws it out,
Assume it may do it as it's not been connected for a long time does this sound right and would i get the other free bbc channels as well?

If you aren't subscribing to NTL for TV you shouldn't be able to get any channels.

its been here for a couple of years nobody collected it,got b/b and the telephone with them just in my opinion sky is better.just connected the cable to the box on the wall switched it on and it came on after saying start-up or starting up.
