Are you getting a better service since the upgrade
Just thought a little poll might help here since the upgrade we appear to have a few people complaning about problems with the service disconnects not being able to see websites
So here goes an eng poll

Re: Are you getting a better service since the upgrade
No problems here. Will tick the appropriate box if it ever appears.
Ooops, there it is now.
I have ticked "it's about the same" because I didn't really have problems before and the same applies after. The service is naturally faster though, as expected.

Re: Are you getting a better service since the upgrade
Just out of curiousity, if Ian described it as about the same because he had no problems before and none after, apart from the speed increase then, erm, how is anyone supposed to say their service has improved?
It's a speed upgrade, higher speed = improvement in service doesn't it?

I wondered about that too.
I suppose that there could be customers who had problems prior to the speed upgrade and who have got rid of the problems after upgrading. Maybe replacing their Pace STB with a Samsung or SACM got rid of the problems?

You never know it might, it depends if you get a higher speed but other problems with it then higher speed does not = improvement in service .
Or after upgrade you have no extra problems
BTW ign was in the winnerish triangle the other day is that near you

Surely if upgrade produces issues it's a degredation of service, if no extra problems service enhanced?
Nah nowhere near Winnerish Triangle, Mr BBKing works near Winnersh Triangle station though.

Not being a biatch just trying to keep the poll subjective so that we can get more value out of the results

So where would "it's about the same come in"? That's why I had to qualify the answer as there appeared to be an element missing in the question. I suppose the placebo affect could blur some peoples perception of service level.

I can't really see how an 'about the same' could come into it. It's supposed to be a service improvement. If speed upgrade worked your service is better, if issues arose from the upgrade then service has been degraded assuming it was working properly as before.
IMHO a 1.5Mbit fully working service is better than a 3.0Mbit dubious service, I'd regard any instability in connection resulting from the upgrade as degradation, which is not offset by the better speeds when connection is working.
