Question Bluetooth Headset for PC

Hello Everyone

Right this might sound stupid but has anyone used, got or knows where I could get a Bluetooth headset for my PC so I could use Netmeeting remotely, once I've connected etc.

And also what type of Bluetooth device I would need in the PC, at present I've got a USB BT Dongle!. Which I use to share the internet with my PDA.

Thanks

As far as I understand the dongle you have would be sufficient. Bluetooth is a comms standard and headset or data would use the same comms standard.

The PC might need some software to understand what to do with a headset, so you need to look into that, but the sony ericsson ones would probably work.

If your BT dongle uses WIDCOMM drivers, then you should be able to use your headset -- the latest version has added the appropriate profile.

You can check by having a look in device manager -- the BT driver adds what looks like a second sound card...

I use my Ericsson HBH30 one, that's paired with my phone.

With the WIDCOMM software, it's somply a case of pairing the PC with the headset and you're away

Hi All and thanks for the advice.

I have had a look around and can't find these WIDCOMM software or drivers well not anything that mentions what I'm trying to do.

I have found this though

http://www.shipitforyou.com/cgi-bin/...03091210264028

for about 80 quid.

As I haven't got a BT fone this experiment is purely for VOIP using netmeeting.

Do you reckon the above is worth the risk????? Or should I try a Ericsson and my BT dongle

Jabra Jabra Jabra!
I'm really pleased with mine, much better than the wired car kit I've got.
The Jabra BT200 headseat is £80 here and thats just the headset, so if you can get it as a kit that works with your computer for the same price, then go for it.
