Mini-guide not staying on

Im not sure if this is just my household but on all three of our boxes when you try to navigate through the mini-guide like checking later programmes it will scroll down once, freeze, then turn off (the mini guide not the box). Why does it do this? It's really beginning to bug me.
Also we seem to go through boxes like hotcakes, we seem to need a new one every 6 months in one room or another. Please tell me it's not just me having these stupid problems, Sky don't have them

Re: Mini-guide not staying on

Mine does the same thing, Ill hit the left or right navigation button, to bring up the guide. and a few seconds later it auto hides even though i'm using it (its not idle).

I usually have to bring up the permanent guide via the TV button. Thats a small compromise to save the annoyance of the vanishing mini guide

Re: Mini-guide not staying on

It's very rare I can get the guide to work at all!!!

I hit the button, the guide appears, I select what I want to look at, and........nothing, it just sits there !!

Re: Mini-guide not staying on

The tv guide auto hides after a pre-set time you can change this by pressing tv guide>settings>display settings you can set between 3/5/7/10 or 30 seconds. You can also have it on perm by pressing the tv button (to turn it off press tv again)
