E-mail problem
Right well first off I'm new here so hi to all who are reading this, secondly for the past two days now I've been having some trouble with my e-mail I have never in my life changed my password for ntl, or changed it for outlook express/Mozilla Thunderbird. However it keeps coming up with the following message
"Sending of password did not succeed. Mail server pop.ntlworld.com responded: invalid username or password"
Could someone please tell me why this is? If you need any other details just ask
Matthew

Re: E-mail problem
Hi and . Do you still have the problem? The Server Status page (see link at the bottom of this page) shows e-mail problems over the last couple of days, which should now be resolved.

Re: E-mail problem
Should be OK, but just in case, have you tried typing both in again, rather than just clicking OK? Also, it's possible that the e-mail 'maintenance' over the last day or so has affected the required settings, though I would have expected more posts on here if that were the case. Hopefully, one of the NTL posters will be along shortly.

Re: E-mail problem
Well it still won't work exploring the problem further though in outlook express it gives me the following from the detail error page
There was a problem logging onto your mail server. Your Password was rejected. Account: 'ntlworld-Mail', Server: 'pop.ntlworld.com', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR invalid user name or password.', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC92
