I like the quote from Simon "tin tin" Duffy.

Quote:
We have repurchased a total of 3.24 million shares in the open market at a cost of $215 million and yesterday concluded the sale of our operations in the Republic of Ireland for â‚ ¬325 million, reinforcing our focus on building our UK cable business. This activity leaves us well positioned for the next stage of our development.â↡¬Â
The next stage being..............

LOL @ Tin Tin!

The next stage is planning the next stage, as we never thought we'd make it this far ;-)

Re: Q1 2005 Results are here...

Not too much in those results to shout home about. Most of the additional income to 'ntl consumer' has been from the acquisition of Virgin net, only 320k broadband adds in the past year on-net is a little scary, as is the sub-20% penetration rate on the service. Comparing this to Telewest's growth in broadband services and their penetration rate it doesn't make nice reading.

Financially it seems pretty much as you were, slow steady growth, nothing to get excited about at all.
