Question Tuning BBC Wales?

Hello,

This is my first time on the forum so please be gentle with me. Does anyone know whether it is possible to receive alternative domestic channels via a Telewest box? I live in Bristol but would really like to tune in to receive BBC Wales as I support a Welsh footie team and always miss the matches in Bristol.

Can anyone shed any light on this please?

Many thanks,

Steve

Re: Tuning BBC Wales?

Are you sure because I can only pick up BBC West. Do I have to tune my box in to the Welsh version?

Thanks!

Re: Tuning BBC Wales?

On my NTL box I press the channel back (past a few channels) button and get a whole new load of bbc channels BBC Scotland as an example.

I'm sure there will be somone here soon to help more.

Re: Tuning BBC Wales?

Ntl has BBC1 England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland on channels 926 - 929

They don't have the BBC2 versions (yet)

I don't know if Telewest have any of the other regions available.

Re: Tuning BBC Wales?

The short answer is no, they don't. On Telewest, you can only get your local BBC1 and 2 on 101 and 102.

Sorry!

Re: Tuning BBC Wales?

Point your aerial over towards Wenvoe, or even Pontypool (send me a PM with your postcode, and I'll tell you which is best) and get a freeview box

or just use analogue in the same way

Or get a satellite STB and dish - you don't need a Sky subscription to get the BBC channels...

... that is unless someone finds it is indeed on TW
