Whats up with E-buyer!?

The E-buyer site is soooo slow at the moment, it takes 43secs to load even the simple pages and up to and over a minute on the more GUI featured pages.
It used to be sooo fast, and this in on a 1mb connection, I know its x-mas but every other site seems to be coping fine!

Any reasons you people know off? It took me 35mins to place an order yesterday and its been slow for over 3 weeks!?

Re: Whats up with E-buyer!?

Hi
You are right!
I have noticed their slow page update (refresh) even if you use eblaster through your e-mail link!

Ebuyer in the early days was only known and used by the well informed buyer, It seems now that all and sundry uses them hence the bottle neck plus as you point out it's Christmas

Re: Whats up with E-buyer!?

Hmmm...any solutions. Or is this an internal E-buyer problem?

Re: Whats up with E-buyer!?

Strange, Ebuyer loads up as fast as usual here wonder if it's a problem with the caches again??

Re: Whats up with E-buyer!?

I'm not sure you can solely blame the caches as I'm on ADSL.

Re: Whats up with E-buyer!?

It was terminally slow for me at work today, nothing to do with caches, and I can't find anyway to navigate round it while they have the xmas design, there are no links visible.

I gave up on it and ordered what I needed from dabs instead.

Re: Whats up with E-buyer!?

ebuyer is working fine, i did notice last night that the site was down for a couple of hours for upgrades due to high volumes of traffic.

Re: Whats up with E-buyer!?

Ebuyer . was never easy to navigate, especially if you have delivery problems/returns or need to open a dialogue with them re: enotes and heaven forbid you need to open a new enote whilst one is still being un-answered/answered,as for them getting back to normal ?as far as I can see (with respect) they are still the same as ever an online shop and a very good sounding board especially there review section. even though I think they can be misleading through dedicated ebuyer's

Q? is there an incentive to asking leading question's on there product review? meaning do you get a discount to write a review?
