Any way to disable interactive

Hi guys,

Been lurking for a few weeks as I have an issue with my STB.

Frequently the interactive/services page will come up on it's own. This is a complete pain as it stops my TiVo being able to change channel.
Is there any way of disabling the interactive/services functionality as I think I've only ever used it once and wasn't that impressed.

Has anyone else had this problem, or can anyone suggest what might be causing it? Could it be my remote extender picking up a rogue signal that activates the interactive?

My STB is about 3 years old (think it's a 4010) and I'm in Manchester (ex C&W?)

Cheers

Re: Any way to disable interactive

Welcome to the site

Firstly, if you're in Manchester it won't be a 4010, but it doesn't really matter.

Somewhere in the settings will be an option to "disable enhanced TV services". This will stop the red button from doing anything, in case that was what was causing the problem. The box will still respond if you press Interactive, TV Guide or On Demand on your remote -- there's no way to stop this I'm afraid.

(There is a way to switch off the IR receiver totally, but since this will stop your TiVo from changing channels, I presume it's not what you want!)

And even this option has been removed in the Langley software
