No TV - Andover area

Is anyone else experiencing TV problems in the Andover area ? My STB seems to be stuck on "tune" with a message that NTL are upgrading my service. Broadband seems fine.

Any suggestions welcomed. (I've re-booted twice already btw)

Regards

Try powering the box on with the 'down' button on the front panel held in. Keep the button pressed until the display says 'boot'.

Even if this works, you should still call ntl

Re: No TV - Andover area

Cheers for the replies chaps. Yep, I've reported it to NTL, (granted, after I posted here), The card is OK and they spiked the line. Nothing seems to have happened and I'm awaiting a call back to arrange an engineer. Looks like my STB is foobar.

BTW, credit where it's due, once I got through to NTL after 25 mins, they were very helpfull, and they called me back when they promised to.

Thanks again, I'll keep you posted, but it looks like I've got no telly for the w/e

There has been problems in the Bromley area (BR6) for the past 24 hours. Broadband was also down for some time.

Re: No TV - Andover area

Well, I never did get the call to arrange an appointment, so I rang last night at 16:15. A very helpful guy called Adrian answered, he called me back to say he had an engineer available THAT EVENING !! and by 19:00 I had a brand new Samsung STB up and running. :-)

Thanks NTL :-)
