Ntl Download Cap

Im sorry guys,

I know this has proberly been mentioned loads of times on here before, but could someone point me to the actual ntl page where it mentions the download cap of 1GB per day, I am not a heavy user but, Today I have just downloaded 3.5GB and was wondering if im gonna get in trouble over this,

I have read on some thread that its ok unless you go over your limit 3 times a week, but I would like to check for my self just to make sure,

Could I go onto the NTL bussines package and download over 1gb a day or has that got a li9mit too,

thanks again great forums and nope I havent had anything wrong with my connection in over 7 days... Wooow Ntl..

Re: Ntl Download Cap

As far as I know they will only start taking action if you exceed the cap on three days in any 14 day period. And even then, they will (in first instance) only send a letter asking you to alter your habits, so I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Re: Ntl Download Cap

I downloaded half life 2 last night - to be honest until you hear about it being enforced I wouldn't worry about it

It's not like (some people I know) who are maxing out their connection 24/7.

Quote:
ntl: home's broadband and dial-up services are intended for normal recreational or educational use by individuals and families and our pricing and network architecture have been designed accordingly. Customers who use the services more heavily than a normal home user will reduce the performance of the network for other customers.

"Normal use" of the service is defined as up to 1 gigabyte downstream of data transfer daily (which equates to approximately 200 music tracks, 650 short videos, 10,000 pictures or around 100 large software programmes downloaded per day)

Re: Ntl Download Cap

The link has been given that answers the thread starter's question, so I'm going to close this thread as we don't need yet another cap thread going in ever decreasing circles.
